check this wood for critters.
Grampa, your shop sure has a lot of great
places to ferret around in. I can't wait to
show Reggie ... oops did I speak too soon?
Grampa, can I, can I tell them?

Remember how I got my name? It was "Pending"
whether I could stay or not. Well, I have a new
pending brother. Turns out there was a ferret across
the street who's family was in a small apartment.
They asked my Mommy and Daddy if they would
like to have him. They were told he could stay if
we got along. Grampa, you were gone, down in
La La Land when he arrived, so you haven't seen
him yet. He looks a lot like me. He sleeps a lot, and
we cuddle, but he isn't playing yet. I think he misses
his family. I bet we can have some great adventures
on these pages ... I hope he stays Grandpa.
"Pen, I only worry you'll teach him your bad habits
like pizza parlors."

*** Update *** The new ferret's name is Patent.
The two of them together will be Patent Pending.
